I contacted Anna after signing up for my first full Ironman. I had been hesitant in the past to hire a coach. I hear a lot of athletes complain about not being able to do the workout they liked. I like the social aspect of group training, and didn’t want to give that up.
I realized if I wanted to well on my first IM, I would need a coach.
From our first conversation, she listened to me. She understood my personal dynamic, my goals and created a program that pushed me as well as included some of the group workouts I was already doing.
Not only have I become a stronger athlete, I have been I better educated athlete. Anna a great coach and a wonderful teacher. This is a quality I value tremendously. Not only does she give me great feedback on my workouts, she explains the technical side of training (why we are doing a workout, what the numbers mean). When I don’t understand things, she takes the time to explain things to me. She is quick to send me a video for further clarify.
I had my most successful year while training with Anna. I completed my first IM, finishing 2 hours faster than I thought I would. I finished in the top 10 of both Ironman 70.3 distance races I entered, and I accomplished my goal of qualifying for the IM 70.3 World Championships.
I am excited to see what the future holds for me and I am excited that Anna is on this journey with me. And I always know Anna just a phone call or text away.

After years of growing up in the professional ski industry, my relationship with coaches has always been biased. I have had favorites over the years, and I was hesitant to jump into a coaching scenario when I fell in love with triathlon. Anna has completely removed this hesitation. She has a natural ability to read and respond to an athlete unlike any other coach I’ve known. This is where Anna isn’t just a coach; she truly places herself within the same challenges her athletes face, and commits to understanding from a level that exceeds professional. She has kept me inspired, chasing her own goals, furthering her education and remaining committed to the latest advances in training. Even when my work schedule or personal life throws a curveball into our training schedule, Anna always smoothly navigates through it with me, reformulating our approach with ease. I couldn’t be more grateful for connecting with Anna—not just for the PR she gets me to in my workouts or races, but for the exquisite way she charges into any goal her athlete’s have as if were her only priority. Thank you Anna, you are truly inspiring and amazing!

A friend of mine encouraged me to contact Anna about 6 months ago. I had always wanted to get into triathlons, but didn’t really know where to start. Having always been a marathoner, I needed to change things up a little bit and avoid the nagging injuries that constantly derailed my training and racing. Anna and I talked for quite a while. She really tried to understand what my goals were and develop a plan that would get me competing in triathlons within the year. Anna sent me workouts every week that were easy to follow and kept me motivated. And added bonuses-I was able to train all Summer without an injury and I lost over 10 pounds Anna called me regularly to find out what was and wasn’t working with my workouts and adjusted my workouts accordingly. After just a few months, I competed in my first half Ironman event and did pretty well. About 2 months later, I competed in my 2nd half Ironman and cut my time by almost 20 minutes. I was very excited. Today I am continuing to work towards my third half Ironman in the Spring. Anna continues to push me past my comfort zone and helps me stay motivated. She has introduced strength training into my weekly workouts which is helping me, especially on the bike. I am looking forward to a great year of triathlons in 2018.
